5. Claiming and Managing Profiles
What claiming a profile means
Claiming a profile means verifying that you are the legitimate holder or representative of the profile listed on Consulto. Once claimed, you can manage and update your professional profile data.
Verification process
Consulto may request proof of your registration with the Ordem dos Advogados to complete the claim. This may include, for example, your professional registration number (cédula) or an email sent from the firm's domain.
Professional responsibilities
By claiming a profile, you commit to:
- Keeping profile data up to date and accurate
- Informing Consulto of any relevant changes (change of address, suspension of registration, etc.)
- Not including false or misleading information
Consulto's rights
By submitting data through a claimed profile, you grant Consulto the right to:
- Display the submitted data in the directory
- Use the firm's name and logo in the context of the directory
- Include the profile in Consulto directory promotional materials
Suspension or removal
Consulto reserves the right to suspend or remove a profile if:
- The data is considered inaccurate or misleading
- These terms are violated
- The professional requests removal
In the event of suspension initiated by Consulto, the professional will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to remedy the situation.
Dispute resolution
For profile-related matters, contact info@consulto.pt. Consulto will review all disputes in good faith and communicate its decision as soon as possible.
6. Future Plans and Features
Consulto may introduce paid plans and premium features in the future.
In that case:
- Advance notice: Users will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price changes or transition of free features to paid
- No automatic charges: Joining any paid plan requires explicit opt-in — you will never be charged automatically
- Access to your data: Data you have submitted will remain accessible regardless of which plan you are on
- Current free features: Some features currently available for free may be moved to paid plans, but we commit to always maintaining a free version of the basic service
